Revanth Reddy Announces Yadagirigutta Revamp

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy held a high-level review meeting on Friday to discuss the ongoing development of Yadagirigutta Temple, dedicated to Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. In a significant move, the government announced the formation of a “Yadagirigutta Temple Board” to oversee the temple’s management, modeled after the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

Officials were instructed to expedite the establishment of the board, ensuring it achieves the same prestige and operational efficiency as TTD. To safeguard the temple’s traditional Goshala, the Chief Minister emphasized the creation of a specialized policy focused on cow protection, leveraging technological advancements.

The Chief Minister also directed authorities to reinstate facilities for devotees to stay overnight on the temple hill, enhancing their spiritual experience. He urged officials to accelerate the gold plating of the Vimana Gopuram and complete it before the upcoming Brahmotsavam festival.

The review also focused on the pending land acquisitions required for temple expansion. The Chief Minister instructed officials to allocate necessary funds to clear bottlenecks and finalize the remaining developmental works. He called for a comprehensive report on all pending tasks and urged the authorities to present detailed proposals within a week.

Additionally, a directive was issued to rename Yadadri as “Yadagirigutta” in all official records and daily usage, restoring its traditional identity.
