Haryana: Priyanka Saurabh, a well-known writer, poet and freelance journalist, was honoured with the ‘Somajik Chinta Jasharati Narad Samman – 2025’ at the state-level journalist honour function organised on the occasion of Devrishi Narad Jayanti.
The honour was given by Haryana Government Cabinet Minister Vipul Goyal at the auditorium of Manav Rachna University, Faridabad.
Priyanka Saurabh, a daughter of Arya Nagar village in Hisar and daughter-in-law of Barwa village in Bhiwani, has advocated for social justice, women’s empowerment, education, environment and democratic values through her writings. Her writing has become a voice of public concern.
The event was successfully organized by Vishwa Samvad Kendra, Haryana, which has been felicitating journalists on the occasion of Devarshi Narada Jayanti for the last 10 years. This year’s event was organized on 25th May 2025.
Giving information, Shri Rajesh Kumar, Secretary, Vishwa Samvad Kendra, Haryana, said, “Devrishi Narad is considered the epitome of Indian journalism. In today’s context, it is important to honor such journalists who fearlessly bring out the truths of society. Priyanka Saurabh’s writing carries this ideology forward.”
Accepting the award, Priyanka Saurabh said, “This award is not for my pen, but for the voices that are often ignored by society. I am trying to bring their rights and reality to the fore through my writing.”
