Bengaluru: The three-day 10th International Women’s Conference, hosted by The Art of Living, will welcome the President of India Droupadi Murmu, alongside an esteemed lineup of global leaders, artists, and business icons on Friday. The event to see a gathering of 500 delegates and 60 speakers at a platform dedicated to leadership, empowerment, and social impact.
Since its inception nearly two decades ago, the conference has hosted 463 distinguished speakers and over 6,000 delegates from 115 countries. This year’s prominent attendees include Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, Union Minister Annapurna Devi, Member of Parliament Shobha Karandlaje, and Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland. Renowned artists such as actresses Hema Malini, Sharmila Tagore, and film director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, along with business leaders Radhika Gupta and Kanika Tekriwal, will also participate.
The conference is chaired by Smt. Bhanumathi Narasimhan, sister of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, and a key advocate for women’s welfare and child care programs under The Art of Living. Guided by the theme “Just Be,” inspired by a poem by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, discussions will focus on leadership, self-discovery, and social transformation.
Beyond discussions, the event will feature a cultural extravaganza, including an International Food Festival and the musical performance Sita Charitam. This grand production, featuring over 500 artists and an elaborate technical crew, reimagines the epic of Ram and Sita with original compositions and English dialogues for a modern audience.
A highlight of the conference will be Stylish InsideOut: Fashion for a Cause, showcasing designs by celebrated Indian designers such as Sabyasachi, Rahul Mishra, Manish Malhotra, and Raw Mango. The proceeds from the fashion auction will support The Art of Living Free Schools, which runs over 1,300 institutions nationwide, educating more than 100,000 children.
President Murmu’s participation underscores the conference’s significance in shaping global conversations on gender roles and leadership. Unlike conventional summits, this event blends intellectual dialogue with spirituality, cultural expressions, and service-driven initiatives.
With educators from 22 states representing The Art of Living Free Schools, the conference bridges urban and rural communities, fostering meaningful connections and grassroots perspectives.
