Hyderabad: As part of its commitment to promoting grassroots sports and nurturing young athletic talent, NTPC Southern Region Headquarters (SRHQ) today distributed 38 complete sets of sports kits to the Telangana Softball Association under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Each kit comprised a pair of track suits, T-shirts, caps, shoes, and socks. The initiative aims to encourage and support budding athletes in Telangana by providing them with essential resources to train and compete at higher levels.
The distribution event was graced by Shri S.N. Panigrahi, CGM (HR), SRHQ, who addressed the players and encouraged them to pursue excellence and aspire for national and international achievements. “NTPC is committed to nurturing sports talent and building a culture of discipline, teamwork, and dedication. We are proud to support the Telangana Softball Association and look forward to seeing these young athletes excel on larger platforms,” said Shri Panigrahi.
The Telangana Softball Association expressed its gratitude to NTPC for its continued support of sports development in the state. They acknowledged that several players from Telangana have already represented India in various international softball tournaments, a testament to the state’s growing sporting prowess.
The event was also attended by Shri Akhil Pattnaik, AGM (HR), and Ms. Priyanka Bhuyan, Senior Manager (Corporate Communication), who interacted with the players and reaffirmed NTPC’s commitment to community welfare and youth empowerment.
This initiative is part of NTPC’s broader CSR agenda, which focuses on health, education, skill development, and sports—aimed at fostering inclusive and holistic community development.
