Iran’s ‘Launch-Ready Missiles’ Capable to Strike US, Says Report After Trump’s ‘Bombing’ Threat

Tehran: Iran has missiles in launch-ready status at many of its underground facilities with the capability to strike US-related positions, hours after US President Donald Trump warned the Middle East country to make a nuclear agreement or else “there will b bombings,” a report said. The US has been asking Iran to make a deal on its nuclear programme on the terms America wants.
A report in Tehran Times said that Iran has a significant number of these “launch-ready missiles” located in underground facilities across the country. The report mentioned that these facilities are designed to withstand airstrikes, the report mentioned.
The report mentioned Trump’s repeated warning to bomb Iran if the country does not make the desired concessions. “Reports indicate these concessions include the complete dismantling of its nuclear program, ties with Resistance groups, and aspects of its missiles and drones program,” it added.
“Information received by the Tehran Times indicates that Iran’s missiles are loaded onto launchers in all underground missile cities and are ready for launch,” the report said.
“Opening the Pandora’s box will come at a heavy cost for the U.S. government and its allies,” the post read.
On Sunday, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian rejected any direct negotiations with the US over advancing its nuclear programmes, reported AP. This was Ira’s first official response to a letter Trump had written to Iran’s Supreme Leader.
President Pezeshkian said that Iran’s response, which was delivered via the Sultanate of Oman, has only kept the possibility of indirect negotiations open with Washington. Notably, the indirect negotiations have made no progress since Trump’s first term when he unilaterally withdrew the US from Tehran’s nuclear deal with world powers in 2018.
“We don’t avoid talks; it’s the breach of promises that has caused issues for us so far,” Pezeshkian said in televised remarks during a Cabinet meeting, reported AP. “They must prove that they can build trust,” he added while referring to the U.S.
The US State Department then responded to Pezeshkian and said, “President Trump has been clear: the United States cannot allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon. The president expressed his willingness to discuss a deal with Iran, it added. “If the Iranian regime does not want a deal, the president is clear, he will pursue other options, which will be very bad for Iran.”
The US recently conducted intense airstrikes targeting the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels of Yemen, with Trump saying that the Houthi have long been a threat to sea route and affected businesses seriously.
