Aizawl: Indra Sena Reddy Nallu on Monday took oath as the Governor of Mizoram.
Gauhati High Court judge Justice Nelson Sailo administered the oath of office to Nallu at the Raj Bhavan here.
Nallu who is the governor of Tripura will be the holding additional charge of Mizoram during the absence of the incumbent Mizoram governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, who is on leave due to health issues.
The event saw the presence of several key figures, including Chief Minister Lalduhoma, Speaker Lalbiakzama, Home Minister K. Sapdanga, other Cabinet Ministers, the Minister of States, Lok Sabha MP, the Chief Secretary, the DGP, and other special invitees.
Born on March 31, 1949, in Ganuga Banda Village, Nalgonda District, Telangana, Nallu is married to Renuka Nallu, and the couple has three sons. Nallu has previously served three terms as a legislator in undivided Andhra Pradesh and has held prominent positions within the BJP.
