Hyderabad: Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy is scheduled to participate in the Krishna Movement’s prestigious “Hare Krishna Heritage Tower” project this Friday, marking a significant milestone for Hyderabad’s cultural landscape. The event will be graced by the esteemed presence of His Grace Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa Prabhuji, Chairman of the Hare Krishna Movement and the Akshaya Patra Foundation. His Grace Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, President of the Hare Krishna Movement and Regional President of The Akshaya Patra Foundation for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, will preside over the ceremony.
The Hare Krishna Heritage Tower is being constructed on a sprawling 6-acre campus at Goshpada Kshetra, Narsingi, on the outskirts of Hyderabad. This grand temple will feature exquisitely carved deities of Sri Radha and Krishna, along with Sri Sita Rama Chandra and Sri Gaura Nitai, in the main temple hall. A traditional stone-carved temple dedicated to Sri Srinivasa Govinda, inspired by the iconic Sri Venkateshwara Swamy shrine in Tirumala, will also be a part of this project. Drawing architectural inspiration from the Kakatiya, Chalukya, Dravidian, and other ancient styles, this Pride of Telangana project aims to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the state.
The Bhu-Sevaks of this project, Sri Krishna Goseva Mandal, have ensured that the campus will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including a library, museum, multi-vision theatre, and Bhagavad Gita halls to promote spiritual and cultural education for children, youth, and families. Advanced technologies like holograms and laser projection will offer visitors an engaging and immersive experience, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage in a captivating manner. The campus will also feature a grand vaidika samkara hall, pilgrim guest rooms, elevators, and ramps for senior citizens and differently-abled visitors, along with a spacious queuing hall for devotees awaiting darshan. Additionally, a free Annadana hall will provide mass feeding for all pilgrims.
Reflecting on this monumental project, Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa highlighted that six years ago, the Hare Krishna Movement successfully constructed Telangana’s first Golden Temple at Banjara Hills, which has since become a significant landmark in Hyderabad. The upcoming Hare Krishna Heritage Tower is poised to become another iconic destination in Telangana, attracting visitors from across India and the world. This magnificent cultural infrastructure will significantly contribute to the vision of a resplendent Telangana, offering holistic well-being and an enhanced quality of life for its people.
The Deity of Anantha Sesha, symbolizing the foundation upon which the entire temple rests, was installed first, following the Agamana Shastras. Beyond the spiritual endeavors, the organization has been actively involved in numerous social welfare initiatives, serving the underprivileged across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Their flagship feeding programs, including Bhojana-Amritam, Annapurna, Saddimoota, and Swasthya Ahara, have collectively served over 15 crore meals through more than 200 food distribution centers, benefitting millions since inception.
