BJP Accuses Revanth of Empty Rhetoric

Hyderabad: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of misleading the public with empty rhetoric while the state struggles with a severe financial crisis.

State BJP spokesperson and media in-charge, N. V. Subash, criticized the Congress-led government for failing to fulfill electoral promises, citing a staggering revenue deficit of ₹26,050 crore as of January. He highlighted government data indicating a negative revenue balance of ₹8,758.83 crore, with a projected revenue surplus of only ₹297.42 crore—further exposing the administration’s fiscal mismanagement.

“The state has received only 55.96% of its estimated revenue in the first 10 months of the financial year, with revenue receipts standing at ₹1,23,815.6 crore against an expenditure of ₹1,49,866.10 crore. This financial instability raises serious concerns ahead of the state budget,” Subash stated.

Even Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) has questioned the Congress government’s inability to manage state finances, warning that the situation could soon spiral into chaos.

The BJP reiterated its commitment to holding the state government accountable and ensuring financial transparency for the people of Telangana.
