At Least 6 Killed After Being Run Over By Karnataka Express In Maharashtra’s Jalgaon, Several Injured

Pune: At least six people were killed after being run over by the Karnataka Express in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon on Wednesday. Several people who suffered injuries are being shifted to nearby hospitals.

Railway officials have a spot near Paranda railway station in Pachora town of Jalgaon to oversee the rescue operation.

The incident occurred when passengers of the Pushpak Express, who had stepped onto the tracks following a rumor of a fire on the train, were hit by Karnataka Express.

However, the District Collector of Jalgaon said that the rumour about the fire could not be confirmed yet. He said that three hospitals have been activated and all necessary measures are being taken.
