TTD Gears Up for Annual Kartika Brahmotsavam at Sri Padmavati Temple

Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is ramping up preparations for the annual Kartika Brahmotsavam at Sri Padmavati Temple in Tiruchanoor, scheduled from November 28 to December 6. Executive Officer J. Syamala Rao has directed officials to make extensive arrangements to ensure a seamless experience for the expected influx of devotees.

During a review meeting held on Monday at the TTD Administrative Building, Rao emphasized coordination across departments, drawing on past experience to organize the festival on the scale of the Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavam. Key directives included completing infrastructure work such as water facilities, rangolis, and queue management systems at the earliest.

Officials are also focused on decorations, including elaborate lighting in the temple vicinity, flower arrangements in the Friday Gardens, and a lineup of cultural and religious events. Venues like Mahathi Kalakshetra and Asthana Mandapam will host various performances organized by the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad.

Additional plans involve deploying trained staff to manage elephants, horses, and bulls used in Vahana Sevas, and inviting dance troupes from other states to participate. Continuous distribution of Annaprasadam is also planned on key festival days.

Medical and safety preparations are in place, with ambulances, paramedics, and temporary toilets to ensure sanitation. Security is a priority, with TTD surveillance teams working closely with local police for crowd control and safety.

Joint Executive Officer Veerabraham, Temple Deputy EO Govindarajan, and other officials were present at the meeting, underscoring TTD’s commitment to a well-organized and spiritually enriching Kartika Brahmotsavam.
