Tirumala: In a significant initiative, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will set up a replica of the renowned Tirumala temple at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The event, scheduled from January 13 to 26, 2025, will draw millions of devotees, providing a spiritual experience for those unable to visit the original shrine.
TTD’s decision reflects its commitment to promoting Sanatan Dharma and reaching out to devotees across the country. The newly constituted board, led by Chairman BR Naidu, approved the plan to participate in the religious gathering.
On Saturday, TTD’s Joint Executive Officer (JEO) for Health and Education, Gowthami, met with Vijay Kiran Anand, Officer-in-Charge of the Kumbh Mela Authority, to formalize arrangements. Following discussions, the Kumbh Mela authorities allocated a 2.5-acre plot in Sector 6 for the temple replica.
Gowthami, accompanied by a team of TTD officials, inspected the site and provided key suggestions to ensure smooth arrangements for North Indian devotees, who are expected to attend in large numbers. The inspection team included HDPP Secretary Sriram Raghunath, Superintendent Engineer Jagadeeshwar Reddy, Executive Engineer Surendranath Reddy, and others.
