Telangana to plant 18 cr saplings under ‘Vana Mahotsavam 2025’: CM Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday said the Telangana government has set a target of planting 18 crore saplings under ‘Vana Mahotsavam 2025’.

Addressing a gathering at the launch of ‘Vana Mahotsavam 2025’ at PJT Agricultural University, Reddy recalled Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to plant a sapling in the name of one’s mother and urged them to plant saplings in their children’s names as well.

“Nature will protect us if we take care of nature,” Reddy said, according to an official release.

n addition to the afforestation drive, CM Revanth Reddy reiterated his government’s strong commitment to women empowerment. Anticipating the implementation of 33% reservation for women in legislative bodies, he pledged to allot 60 Assembly tickets to women in the next elections.
