Hyderabad: Telangana is rapidly progressing toward becoming a trillion-dollar economy, driven by investor-friendly policies and strategic initiatives in IT, industry, and infrastructure. Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu emphasized the state’s commitment to economic growth, according to Congress spokesperson V. Yogeshwar Reddy.

In an informal chat, Reddy highlighted the Minister’s bold statement in the state legislative assembly, where he announced that the government has already attracted investments worth ₹1.82 lakh crore, paving the way for rapid industrial expansion. Telangana is positioning itself as a hub for key industries, including automobiles, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, textiles, electronics, defense, and space manufacturing.

According to Reddy, the Minister’s top priority under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership is clear: boosting investments and infrastructure. Telangana’s progressive policies, such as the TS-iPASS system for speedy industrial approvals, have been instrumental in attracting investors. The government is also making significant investments in infrastructure, with new technology parks, data centers, and startup hubs fostering the IT ecosystem. Initiatives like T-Hub, V-Hub, and TASK are driving entrepreneurship and employment opportunities for the youth.

Reddy further stated that Telangana is strengthening its logistics and trade sectors by expanding highways, metro rail networks, and transport systems. Investments in irrigation projects and agro-based industries are supporting green agriculture and rural development.

He also praised the Chief Minister and Minister for their clear vision for economic growth. During the Assembly session, Sridhar Babu addressed opposition concerns with statistical evidence showcasing the state’s progress. He stressed that well-planned policies and a strong focus on investment and employment generation are key to achieving the trillion-dollar economy goal.

Reddy reiterated the Minister’s confidence, stating, “Telangana’s economic growth is surpassing expectations. With continued government efforts, the state is set to become India’s leading financial and industrial hub.”

Hyderabad, in particular, is rapidly emerging as a global IT destination, he boasted.
