Hyderabad: Telangana BJP spokesperson N.V. Subash strongly criticized Congress MP Jairam Ramesh’s statements defending the controversial Hindenburg Research following its shutdown in the United States. Subash called Ramesh’s remarks baseless and accused the Congress party of spreading misinformation to undermine India’s institutions and its democratic government.
“Congress leaders like Jairam Ramesh are shamelessly defending a short-seller operation funded by George Soros, who is openly committed to destabilizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. Their justifications lack merit and show their disregard for institutions like the Supreme Court and SEBI,” Subash stated.
Subash further alleged that the Congress party has a history of supporting anti-national agitations, including the so-called farmers’ protests and the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) demonstrations, which he claimed were orchestrated by NGOs linked to Soros. “The Congress is complicit in aiding foreign-funded campaigns aimed at damaging India’s global reputation as a fast-growing economy,” he said.
Responding to Congress’s questions regarding the Adani Group, Subash noted that most of their allegations were unrelated to the Hindenburg report and instead targeted government policies. “The Congress is desperately clinging to fake narratives to defame an Indian businessman and discredit the government’s economic achievements,” he said.
Subash also accused the Congress of using international platforms for anti-India campaigns, particularly highlighting Rahul Gandhi’s alleged involvement in such activities. “Their overseas drama will end as leaders like Donald Trump take action against deep-state actors. The Congress must address the alleged connections of its leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, with Soros-backed organizations,” he added.
Highlighting the financial impact of the Congress’s narrative, Subash stated that investors in Adani Group companies suffered losses of over $150 million due to the false allegations. “The Congress’s obstruction of Parliament and irresponsible behaviour have cost the nation dearly. The public deserves an apology,” he asserted.
Subash concluded by emphasizing that the Indian electorate has consistently rejected Congress’s smear campaigns. “In every election, from the Lok Sabha to state assemblies, the people of India have delivered their verdict against these dynastic politics. Even the voters of Delhi will teach them yet another lesson,” he declared.
The BJP reiterated its demand for an unconditional apology from the Congress for its role in spreading false narratives and collaborating with anti-India elements. “The nation will not forgive those who put vested interests above India’s progress,” Subash added.
