Sri Gaura Purnima Celebrated with Grandeur at Hare Krishna Golden Temple

Hyderabad: The Hare Krishna Golden Temple witnessed grand celebrations on Friday for Sri Gaura Purnima, marking the divine appearance of Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. The festival featured a special alankara of the deity, followed by darshan and a ceremonial offering of 56 varieties of food, known as Chappan Bhog.

A grand Pallaki Utsavam of Sri Sri Gaura Nitai was held in the evening, culminating in a 108-kalasha Maha Abhishekam with sacred offerings and Vedic hymns. Addressing the gathering, Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa, President of the Hare Krishna Movement, Hyderabad, emphasized the significance of chanting the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra for spiritual upliftment.

Devotees participated in ecstatic Hari Nama Sankirtan, devotional dances, and cultural performances by the Hare Krishna youth and congregation wings. The event also included the annual report presentation of the movement’s spiritual and charitable activities. The festival concluded with a final Maha Mangala Arathi, and elaborate arrangements were made for prasadam distribution.
