Hyderabad: Telangana BJP spokesperson NV Subhash criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of presenting an overly optimistic vision while neglecting the state’s pressing financial challenges. According to Subhash, Telangana’s fiscal health is under strain, highlighted by a fresh borrowing of ₹10,000 crore to meet immediate needs. He argued that a competent leader should focus on revenue generation and long-term development, adding, “Every step of this CM seems misguided since day one. We suspect he is following a script crafted by ‘The Family.’”
Subhash also took aim at the recently released progress report, claiming it exaggerated future projects while relying heavily on achievements from the tenure of late Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. He dismissed the report’s claim about Congress initiating the Shamshabad International Airport project, crediting former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu instead.
The BJP spokesperson mocked the comparison of Hyderabad to global cities like New York, calling it unrealistic and reminiscent of past promises to model the city after Dallas. He also criticized the frequent use of the term “will be” in the report, implying a lack of concrete plans.
Subhash advised Revanth Reddy to abandon “drama” and collaborate with the central government to drive Telangana’s development. He warned that attacking Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy and blaming others would not yield results. Instead, he urged the CM to focus on actionable strategies and a clear vision for the state’s future.
