Revanth meets Rajnath, requests transfer 2,450 acres of defence lands back to state

New Delhi: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has appealed to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to transfer 2,450 acres of defence land to the Telangana Government for widening roads and other civic infrastructure projects in Hyderabad. The Chief Minister met with Rajnath Singh in Delhi on Monday.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister highlighted that 2,462 acres of state-owned land are being utilized for the Imarat Research Centre (RCI) at Ravirala village. Given that the Defence Ministry is using state land for RCI, he requested the transfer of 2,450 acres of defence land for constructing roads, flyovers, and other infrastructure in and around Hyderabad. CM Revanth Reddy urged the Defence Minister to agree to a mutual transfer of land between the state government and the defence department.

Additionally, the Chief Minister mentioned that the Union Government has already sanctioned a Sainik School for Warangal. However, the previous state government did not initiate construction of the school. He requested the Defence Minister to renew or issue a fresh permit for the Warangal Sainik School, as the earlier permission has expired.
