Hyderabad: Senior party functionary P.L. Srinivas has been appointed as the official spokesperson of the Secunderabad Mahankali unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana.
The appointment was announced by the state party’s Chief Spokesperson and Media In-charge, N. V. Subash, as part of the party’s effort to strengthen its communication network across various organisational units in the state.
In his new role, Srinivas will represent the party in media interactions, articulate its policies, and act as a bridge between the party leadership and the public.
Expressing gratitude to the party leadership, Srinivas thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Telangana BJP president Ramchander Rao, Rajya Sabha MP K. Laxman, Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy, and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar for entrusting him with the responsibility.
Srinivas said he would work to effectively communicate the party’s positions on key issues concerning Telangana, including economic development, employment generation, agrarian concerns, and industrial growth.
Party sources said his experience in public relations and familiarity with Telangana’s socio-political landscape are expected to strengthen the BJP’s outreach and media engagement in the region.
