The lab’s inauguration by Dr. G Chandrashekar Reddy, IFS, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, underscores the city’s commitment to advanced healthcare. With India reporting 1.8 million stroke cases annually and a fatality rate exceeding 30%, the need for rapid, efficient treatment has never been greater.
The NeuroCath Lab features advanced 2D and 3D imaging, flexible X-ray detector positioning, and innovative table-side controls that enable precise, minimally invasive procedures. These capabilities are crucial for treating conditions like ischemic strokes, brain aneurysms, and congenital vascular abnormalities, ensuring faster diagnosis and improved patient outcomes.

The facility is equipped to perform mechanical thrombectomy, a breakthrough procedure to remove clots in ischemic stroke patients.
