Amaravati: Most disgusting performance of Telugu Desam Party in the Panchayat elections in the state continues even in the 2nd phase as well. What’s more irony is that the TDP loyalists like former minister Ayyanapatrudu has failed to hold back their  respective constituencies.

For example, in Narsipatnam, the constituency of Ayyanapatrudu, his party just managed to secure just 26 out of the 101 panchayats which went to polls in the second phase, while the YSRCP kept its winning spree bagging as many as 73.

Similarly, at Icchapuram, the constituency of TDP MLA B. Ashok, TDP managed to win just 11 out of 98 panchayat, while YSRCP backed candidates secured a massive 83.

As far as Uravakonda, the constituency of TDP MLA P.Keshav, is conerned, the YSCRP has managed to win impressive 15 out of 19 panchayats, while the TDP was limited to mere 4 seats.

In Raptadu, the constituency of former TDP Minister, Paritala Sunitha, YSRCP won 45 out of 58 panchayats, while the TDP managed to crawl its way to just 12.

– In Janaganapalle, the constituency of TDP’s Bejjam Parthasarathi, the ruling party restricted the TDP to just 13 out of 102 panchayats, while grbbing as many as 88.

Interestingly, the voters seems to have rewarded YSRCP with unprecedented results in the Phase 2 also.

In Jaggampeta, the constituency of YSRCP MLA B. Chanti Babu, the party has managed to secure 53 out of 67 panchayats that voted in phase 2, thereby limiting TDP to just 14

At Chilakaluripeta, the constituency of YSRCP MLA , Vidadala Rajini, YSRCP snathed 34 out of 51 panchayats, while the TDP was limited to just 16.

In Narsaraopeta, the constituency of YSRCP MLA Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy, the party could win as many as 47 out of 49 panchayats, thereby leaving the TDP just 2.

In Vinukonda, TDP managed to secure just 26 out of 119 panchayats as compared to YSRCP’s 91.

In Venkatagiri, the constituency of YSRCP MLA A. Rama Narayana Reddy, the yellow outfit won just 2 out of 20 panchayats, while the YSRCP secured 18.

In all the the YSRCP backed candidate could win as many as 2639 out of 3328 Panchayats in Phase 2.

The YSRCP’s dream run and the TDP’ abysmal show continued even in phase 2 of the ongoing panchayat elections as candidates backed by the ruling outfit won 2639 out of 3328 panchayats which went to polls in the second phase. The TDP was limited to 536, while the BJP and JSP managed to win just 6 and 36 panchayats respectively.

The Telugu Desam Party faced unfathomable humiliation due to the party’s dismal performance in its age-old bastions even in phase 1. Despite all the false propaganda, the party’s senior leaders and former ministers failing to secure even a decent number of Panchayats in their respective constituencies, starting from Chandra Babu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh himself, speaks volumes about the resentment exhibited by the voters.

In Tekkali, which happens to be the constituency of the state president of TDP, K. Atchennaidu, the ‘ yellow ‘ outfit managed to win only 23 out of the 135 panchayats which went to polls in the first phase. The welfare initiatives implemented by the Government under CM Jagan Mohan Reddy led to YSRCP backed candidates winning as many as 112 Panchayats falling under Atchennaidu’s constituency. This happening, despite Atchennaidu trying to intimidate candidates is a massive signal sent out by the citizens.

Similarly, in Tuni, the constituency of former TDP Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, TDP managed to secure just 3 out of 58 panchayats which were up for grabs while the YSRCP backed candidates won as many as 54 panchayats. While the numbers stated above are enough to prove how irrelevant TDP has become in AP, the party supremo’s son Nara Lokesh managing to secure just 2 out of the 18 panchayats falling under his home constituency, Mangalgiri reflects the fact that the party has achieved absolute obscurity in the state. On the other hand, YSRCP candidates managed to secure 14 out of the 18 panchayats in fray.
