South Africa thrash India to register 7 wicket win over India in 3rd Test, win series 2-1

Cape Town:  South Africa thrashed India with a remarkable 7 victory over in the third and final Test here and seal the series 2-1.

The hosts chased a 212-run target with seven wickets to spare as Keegan Petersen (82) top-scored for the side, with Rassie van der Dussen (41*), Dean Elgar (30) and Temba Bavuma (32*) making key contributions.

The Proteas made a remarkable comeback in the series after losing the first Test in Centurion, beating India by same margin in the second match in Johannesburg as well.

The final frontier remains unconquered for India. Virat Kohli and co. missed a huge opportunity of ending their winless series-streak on South African soil; but this series may also mark a transition period for India, especially in their batting lineup.

South Africa win by 7 wickets! A brilliant victory for the Proteas. Temba Bavuma hits the winning runs against Ashwin with a boundary and roars in joy. A thoroughly deserving victory!
