The first South-Asian edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), 2017, being organised by India and the United States kicked off in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Ivanka Trump, advisor to Donald, Trump, President of the United States, and his daugher, is the leading face of the eighth edition of the GES.
Over 1,000-odd delegates from across 150 countries are part of the three-day event bearing the theme, ‘Women First, Prosperity For All.’ Ivanka Trump is set to speak at the plenary session which is set to begin in a few minutes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will also address the gathering.
Over the course of the next two days, the event being held at the sprawling HICC in Gachibowli will see entrepreneurs from countries like the US, Afghanistan, Israel, Nigeria, Australia and India to network with each other, pitch for funding, hear from venture capitalists on starting and running a business, avoiding failures failing better.
